긴장성 경반사, 모로반사 등 원시 반사가 정상적으로 나타나지 않거나 비대칭적으로 긴장성 경반사가 나타나거나 비대칭적으로 모로 반사가 나타나면 팔다리에 어떤 이상이 있나 알아본다.

다음과 같은 원인으로 신생아가 팔이나 다리를 잘 움직이지 못할 수 있고 긴장성 경반사가 비대칭적으로 나타나거나 모로 반사가 비대칭적 나타날 수 있다. [부모도 반의사가 되어야 한다- 소아가정간호백과]-제 3권 소아 청소년 성장발육-원시반사 참조.

- 팔이나 다리, 쇄골에 골절이 있거나(p.00 쇄골 골절)
- 팔이나 다리에 염증이 생겨 있거나
- 팔이나 다리의 관절이 삐었거나 다쳤거나
- 팔이나 다리의 신경이 손상됐거나
- 뇌 손상이
- 뇌성마비가
- 척수신경 이상이
- 근육 이상
- 건강 상태가 아주 나쁘거나 전신이 아주 미약하거나 쇠약하거나
- 그 외 다른 이유 등으로 신생아가 팔이나 다리를 잘 움직이지 못할 수 있다.

Newborns may have difficulty moving their arms or legs, asymmetrical tonic reflexes, or Moro reflexes may appear asymmetrical due to the following causes.

There is a fracture in the arm, leg, or clavicle (Clavicle fracture)

Inflamed arms or legs
A sprained or injured arm or leg joint
Nerve damage in the arm or leg
Brain damage
Cerebral palsy
Spinal nerve abnormalities
Muscle abnormalities
To be in very bad health,
or the whole body is very weak
For other reasons, newborns may have difficulty moving their arms or legs.
