  • When sleeping, we do not recommend sleeping with your face facing the floor and your stomach on the floor. Instead, it is recommended that you sleep with the baby’s face facing the ceiling and your back lying on the floor.
  • When a baby sleeps with his face facing the ceiling, he suddenly vomits while sleeping, or when he passes the contents of his stomach, the vomit is sucked into the airways and the airways are blocked, which can lead to suffocation.
  • In addition, vomit can get sucked into the lungs and cause aspiration pneumonia. However, the incidence of sudden infant death is low.
  • On the contrary, if the baby’s face is facing the floor and the baby is lying face down, the airways such as the baby’s mouth and nose are blocked with bedding such as blankets, which can cause breathing difficulties.
  • Therefore, the incidence of sudden infant death (parents should also become anti-doctors-encyclopedia of pediatric family nursing-vol. 1 emergency medical care for children and adolescents-sudden infant death) is higher.
  • When sleeping newborns and young infants, it is ideal to sleep with the baby’s face facing the ceiling and lying on its back on the floor.
  • Do not put infants and toddlers to sleep on a pillow.
  • However, newborns, newborns after that, and infants do not continue to lie down while sleeping, but always move little by little, so the sleeping position can change.
  • That’s why it’s sometimes not so easy to keep your baby sleeping while maintaining the same sleeping position.
  • Enough sleep (sleep), Newborn sleep, see when the baby does not fall asleep easily or wakes up frequently during sleep.
  • And parents should also be at least the half-doctors-Encyclopedia of Child and Family Nursing-Volume 22, Sons and Daughters, Love and Raise this way”-Refers to sleep and problems, normal sleep patterns, sleep training and problems of infants and toddlers from 5 to 29 months of age.
