신생아 척추 골절(등뼈 골절)의 원인

드물게 난산으로 신생아의 척추가 골절될 수 있다.
출생 후 신생아가 어디서 떨어지든지 아동학대(소아학대), 또 안전사고 등으로 신생아의 척추가 골절될 수 있다.

척추 골절의 정도·원인·골절된 척추의 부위·합병증의 유무 등에 따라 증상 징후가 다르다.
척추가 심하게 골절되면 척수신경 마비가 동반되는 것이 보통이다.
골절된 척추 부위에서 나온 척수신경과 그 신경에서 나오는 말초신경들이 분포되는 몸통이나 팔다리 등의 근육이 완전 마비될 수다.
마비된 척수 말초신경으로 분포된 근육이 있는 신체 부위에 운동 장애 및, 또는 감각 장애가 생길 수 있다.
예를 들면, 팔에 분포되는 상박 신경총 등 척수말초 신경이 마비될 때 그 쪽 팔에 운동 장애가 생겨 그 쪽 팔을 잘 움직이지도 못하고, 거기에 감각 장애가 생길 수 있다.

병력·증상 징후·진찰소견 등을 종합해서 척추 골절이 의심되면 척추 X선 사진·척추 CT 스캔·척추 MRI 사진 등으로 진단한다.

원인·증상 징후·정도·합병증의 유무 등에 따라 치료한다.
소아청소년과 전문의, 정형외과 전문의와 신경외과 전문의, 재활 물리치료 전문의 등의 치료를 받아야 한다.

Causes of spinal fractures in newborns (spine fractures)

Rarely, difficulty delivery can cause a newborn’s spine to be fractured.
Wherever the newborn falls after birth, the newborn’s spine can be fractured due to child abuse (child abuse) or safety accidents.

Symptoms and signs differ depending on the degree and cause of a vertebral fracture, the part of the fractured vertebrae, and the presence or absence of complications.
A severe fracture of the spine is usually accompanied by paralysis of the spinal nerve. The spinal nerves from the fractured spine and the muscles of the trunk or limbs where the peripheral nerves from the nerves are distributed can be completely paralyzed.
Movement and/or sensory disturbances may occur in areas of the body where the muscles are distributed to the paralyzed peripheral nerves of the spinal cord.
For example, when the peripheral nerves of the spinal cord such as the upper arm plexus distributed in the arm are paralyzed, movement impairment occurs in the arm, making it difficult to move the arm, and sensory impairment may occur there.

Diagnosis of neonatal vertebral fractures (spine fractures)

If a vertebral fracture is suspected by synthesizing the medical history, symptoms, and examination findings, it is diagnosed with a spinal X-ray picture, a spine CT scan, and a spine MRI picture.

Treatment of neonatal vertebral fractures (spine fractures)

Treatment is based on the cause, symptoms, symptoms, severity, and the presence of complications.

You should receive treatment from a child and adolescent specialist, an orthopedic specialist, a neurosurgeon specialist, and a physical rehabilitation specialist.
